Membership of SLLG

SLLG members enjoy many benefits from belonging to an active community of professional information and knowledge managers representing a wide range of legal entities.  The combined information sources held within this community are invaluable to its individual members.

This collaboration assists the members in developing professional contacts by a series of meetings both formal and informal held throughout the year.  There are social engagements, training sessions and a variety of associated networking events.

Additionally and most importantly, SLLG takes the lead role in Scotland in educating the legal community and other observers about its members' contributions.  It is the major voice in the legal services sector continually advocating the importance and value of professional library and information management.  Read Gill Black's article published in the Journal of the Law Society for Scotland on the role of the modern law firm librarian, Image and Reality.
